Mai Loc
Up Hill 950 Khe Sahn Mai Loc Quang Tri

When FOB 3 closed, the Bru were moved to Mai Loc, near Cam Lo, where a launch site was established.  A-101 was located at the south end of the dirt airstrip. Mai Loc was originally about 4 GP mediums on the east side of the runway, surrounded by a two - three foot deep trench and barbed wire.  Eventually a triangular base was constructed on the west side, and then the site was closed on or about 30 November.  Thereafter launches were made from the Quang Tri site.

The LZ area east of the airstrip, with the French Fort beyond.  Two Kingbee insertion birds, two Kingbee Chase ships, and four to six gun ships was a standard package.   Shadows indicate about noon, so it is probable that all missions have been scrubed, there are no teams in the field, and the choppers are headed back to Phu Bai.
