Changing your Settings in Eudora Pro 3.x
This page provides instructions on how to modify several important settings on your Eudora Pro e-mail program.

How to change your:

  • Address (as it appears on your sent e-mail)
  • Personal Name (as it appears on your sent e-mail)
  • Server Information
  • E-mail Login Information

Changing Your Address (as it appears on you sent e-mail).

Note: All CWO Internet Accounts have been provided with a user selected e-mail address. If you would like to change your address or have forgotten the one you selected, please contact technical support.

1. Click on the "Tools" pull-down menu and select "Options".
2. Click on the "Personal Info" icon in the left column.
3. On the right, under "Return Address ", make sure the address matches the e-mail address provided to you by CWO.

Changing Your Personal Name (as it appears on you sent e-mail).

1. Click on the "Tools" pull-down menu and select "Options".
2. Click on the "Personal Info" icon in the left column.
3. On the right, under "Real Name", types the name your e-mail will send with every outgoing letter.

Changing Your Server Information

1. Click on the "Tools" pull-down menu and select "Options".
2. Click on the "Getting Started" icon in the left column.
3. On the right, under "POP account:", make sure the address reads "<username>@<your server name>", where <username> is the first part of your e-mail address (before the @) and <your server name> is your mail server (example: "mail.cwo.com" or "mail.goldstate.net").
4. Click on the "Hosts" icon in the left column. On the right, make sure "SMTP"shows <your server name(example: "mail.cwo.com" or "mail.goldstate.net").>
5. Click OK.
6. Check your mail as usual. You may encounter an error message requiring you to re-enter your password, this is normal. Simply re-enter your password and click OK.

Changing Your E-mail Login Information

Note: All CWO Internet accounts have been provided with a unique user name and password. If you would like to change your user name or password, or have forgotten the one you selected, please contact technical support.

1. Click on the "Tools" pull-down menu and select "Options".
2. Click on the "Getting Started" icon in the left column
3. On the right, under "POP account:", make sure the address reads "<username>@<your server name>", where <username> is the first part of your e-mail address (before the @) and <your server name> is your mail server (example: "mail.cwo.com" or "mail.goldstate.net").
4. Click OK.
5. Check your mail as usual. You may encounter an error message requiring you to re-enter your password, this is normal. Simply re-enter your password and click OK.

Note: If you still cannot successfully check you e-mail you may be using an incorrect user name or password. Remember that your user name and password are case sensitive, check their case and try again. If you still have trouble, please contact technical support.
