Coastal Web Online Y2K Statement. As the countdown toward the Year 2000 continues, the volume of inquiries that we receive continues to increase. Many of the inquiries are accompanied by lengthy questionnaires and requests for guarantees of our services' Y2K compliance. While the letters vary in details, the
single common question is "Can I depend on Coastal Web Online to continue to provide reliable service after 1999?"
The answer to that question is "YES." We will not compromise our high standard of quality and customer service as we confront the year 2000. If, in the unlikely event something goes awry, please be assured that we will do all we can to correct the problem, as we would do in any other situation.
Changes in technology will almost certainly be
reflected in future products, including programming and media changes. It is our intention, however, to test these products to make sure they will continue to run in the next century.
Coastal Web Online's year 2000 compliance program has been in operation for quite some time. It is a tremendous task, and one we take very seriously. Coastal Web Online has identified critical risk areas and has developed migration strategies for each. We also are working with our vendors and suppliers to
help make the transition through the year 2000 run as smoothly as possible.
"Has Coastal Web Online completed an assessment of its business systems and operating facilities to identify any that may be affected by year 2000 issues?"
Yes. We have inventoried and assessed all major categories of information technology systems (e.g., Network Routers/Servers and business systems). Coastal Web Online does not anticipate any problems that will inhibit its ability to provide continued
service to all subscribers. We will, however, continue to monitor and test our systems as necessary to provide for uninterrupted business operations.
