I am replying to your question.
The oppressed black people all over India spoke an ancient form of Tamil before the black Dravidians were subjected to genocide and racial slavery through the creation of the Hindu caste system some 2,500 years ago. Tamil survived in the southern tip of India but the present day Tamils follow the caste system and wallow in the false identity of Hinduism. Caste system was introduced among the Tamils in the southern tip of India through royal marriages with Aryan princesses after centuries of resistance put up by Tamil kings against Aryan racism in the southern tip of India collapsed some thousand years ago. Tamils adopted the caste system and the religion that sanctioned it which is called "Hinduism" in modern parlance. The Brahmans who came into the southern tip of India to enforce and preach the bigoted religion of caste can speak Tamil but are virulent Aryan racists. These South Indian Brahmans are in large numbers in the USA and it was heartening to note that brother Runoko Rashidi, the black historian and renowned activist successfully engaged such a bigot in an academic forum in the United States. The present day Tamils are divided into touchable "Shudras" who wallow in the false Hindu identity and discriminate against their fellow Dravidian brothers who are segregated as untouchables. The untouchable people of India are referred to as "Dalits" in modern political parlance.
All over India descendants of the Black Dravidians of India are divided into Shudras (who are the lower most primary caste division in Hindu society) and Panchamas (who are outcast untouchables and black tribals with sharp African features!!) The word "Shudra" means children of a Brahman's sexual slaves!!
A recent genetic study by an American university proved that the real Hindus who are the upper castes belonging to the primary caste divisions of Brahmans (priests), Kshatriyas (warriors) and Vysyas (traders) are indeed European in genetic origin, thus proving that the upper caste Hindus are descendants of the Aryans hordes who invaded India and enslaved the black Dravidian people through an orgy of violence and genocide!!
The real Hindus (the upper castes) still wear a scared thread across their chests to identify themselves from the Shudras and the Panchamas!!
The recent rise of Hindu fundamentalism is aimed at sustaining the false identity of "Hindu" over the lower caste Shudras and the outcast Panchamas so that the impoverished black Dravidian people will not realize the truth about their "roots" and will not unite against the real Hindu (upper caste) racist interests who are enjoying the fruits of power, media, bureaucracy and academia in India (not to mention the benefits of globalization!) 90% of Indians in the USA are upper caste racist bigots!!
